We work in many ways, both in Uppsala, the rest of Sweden, and globally, with the goal of making Jesus’ love accessible to as many people as possible. The calling we received from the Lord in the beginning, and which we have always worked from, is these words: ‘Equip God’s people with His word of faith. Show them the spiritual weapons they have. Teach them how to use them and send them out in victorious battle for the Lord.’

This is expressed in everything from our local congregation and church activities to our social efforts among refugees, the homeless, and the vulnerable in Uppsala, as well as mission work, Bible schools, and humanitarian efforts in many countries around the world.

The local congregation, Word of Life  in Uppsala, is led by the pastoral leadership: Pastor Christian Åkerhielm, Pastor Simon Ahlstrand, and Pastor Sebastian Asklund.

In addition to the Uppsala congregation, over the years we have built a large international network where we have started over a thousand churches, run many Bible schools, and continually carry out leadership training, mission work, TV broadcasts, and humanitarian efforts among those in need, as well as in connection with natural disasters and crises. We constantly see how God is leading us forward in our work and opening new and exciting doors and opportunities in the mission field.
